Thousands caught using mobile phones while driving in Thames Valley

More than 10,000 people were caught using their mobile phones or similar devices whille driving in the Thames Valley over the course of the last financial year.

Officers in the region caught 10,672 people using mobile devices between April 1 2013 and March 31 2014.

The figures were released as Hampshire and Thames Valley Police launched a joint operation
