Arsonists set fire to four bins
Vandals led police and firefighters on a wild goose chase around Britwell on Thursday night after they set fire to four bins.
Firefighters from Slough were called out four times between 8.30pm and 11.30pm in the Odencroft Road area of Britwell.
The fires were all confined to external bins outside flats in the area and were easily out out.
But police were called out by the firefighters and spent two hours searching for the arsonists.
Firefighters have described the incidents as a 'mini-arson campaign' and are angry at the waste of time. Crew manager Barry Ashton warned that firefighters could have prevented from attending a serious fire elsewhere by the vandals.
