An off-licence in Chalvey has been fined for selling counterfeit wine. Avtar Singh, who owns Alexandra Wines on Chalvey Road West, was fined £675 and ordered to pay costs of £1,367 after council officers discovered 15 bottles of counterfeit Jacobs Creek wine during a routine inspection in April last year. Mr Singh was fined at Reading Magistrates Court on May 4.
