Last of 32 kerb crawlers sentenced
A Londoner has become the last of 32 men to be sentenced for kerb crawling in Chalvey last February.
Yankuba Touray, of Barking Road, London, was sentenced at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday last week.
The 41-year-old was found guilty and fined £1,015 and joins 31 other men who were all found guilty of soliciting offences.
Police carried out Operation Chevron in Slough from February 21-25 last year, where they arrested Touray and the other men.
All the kerb crawlers were charged with soliciting a person in a street or public place for the purpose of obtaining sexual services from them as a prostitute.
Detective Sergeant, Will Halliday, said: "The way in which these men behaved with the women involved had a detrimental effect on the lives of so many law-abiding citizens and residents who just wanted to go about their day-to-day lives in Slough."
