A Colnbrook couple were left devastated after four of their furry friends were stolen.

Kathy and John Willingale run rescue centre Ferrets United at their home in Crown Meadow.

On Thursday, November 17, they woke to find that four of the ferrets had been taken overnight from a hutch in the garden.

But they were delighted when one, named Mickey, was returned to them by a Colnbrook resident who found it in a park and looked after it for a couple of days.

The couple foster RSPCA ferrets and find them new homes.

Kathy, 60, said: "I have been looking for them ever since. We have put posters up offering a reward for their safe return all around the area. I am just gutted."

Two sandy coloured sisters, Jilly and Jenny and one darker male, Red, were stolen.

John and Kathy have been running the rescue centre for more than 15 years.

Call PCSO Lee Kenealy on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 with information.
