George Michael Carman

A clean-living boxing champion from Iver hopes to hit the heights with his fists of fury. George Michael Carman, known as Classy Carman, became the WBC welterweight world youth champion in front of more than 1,000 fans at Montem Leisure Centre last month. Fundraisers

Quilters are turning their hands to much-needed fundraising. Wendy Rogers and The Sunday Quilting Group of Richings Park, together with other friends, have set up a fundraising group for Richings Park and Iver, to support Thames Hospicecare and their first event took place on Saturday. A jubilee afternoon tea was held at St Andrew's United Reform Church raising £157.50.
