Iver trio deny attempted murder

Not guilty pleas have been entered by three Iver men accused of attempted murder.

William Smith, 45, Matthew Smith, 19, and William Smith, 26, all of Langley Park Road, are charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of firearm possession with intent to endanger life, following a double shooting in Foxborough Close in Langley on November 5.

The trio denied the charges at Reading Crown Court on Thursday.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and abdomen at a mobile home in Foxborough Close, while a 45-year-old man was also left with minor injuries.

They will return to the court on March 5 for a directions hearing where a trial date will be set.
