Project Pinewood refused planning permission
An appeal over the controversial multi-million pound Project Pinewood has been refused.
Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath appealed after South Bucks District Council rejected its proposal in 2009 but the Secretary of State has now decided the appeal 'should be dismissed and planning permission refused'.
The plans included building hundreds of new homes and multi-storey street scenes of Paris, London, New York, and other cities on greenbelt land next to the film studios in Pinewood Road, Iver Heath.
Stop Project Pinewood campaigners rallied against it.
Cllr Julian Wilson, from South Bucks District Council, said: "It is a brilliant outcome."
Pinewood said it was 'disappointed' by today's decision and will now 'take time to review the decision in detail'.
