Singing schoolchildren raised the roof in Langley when they took part in a world record attempt.

The 120 pupils at Foxborough Primary School in Langley were part of a bid to break the record for the most young people singing a song with signs at the same time.

They joined 150,000 other children around the globe who sang simultaneously for two minutes at 2.45pm yesterday in the sign2sing event organised by the charity SignHealth.

Students aged from 7-11 years old took part at the Common Road school and helped smash last year's record of 94,489.

Sign language teacher Claire Perry, said: "All the children and adults enjoyed learning the signs for song and singing."
