Convicted drug dealer wins right to appeal sentence
A drug dealer, who has been sentenced to nine years behind bars after being caught red-handed with £500,000 worth of heroin, has won the right to an appeal.
Car salesman Mansoor Khalid, of Maple Crescent in Slough, was granted leave for a full appeal against his length of sentence at the Court of Appeal yesterday.
The 33-year-old was sent down at Reading Crown Court on September 11 for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
He had denied being the 'middle man' in a high-purity heroin deal in the car park of the Montagu Arms Harvester restaurant on November 17, 2011.
No date has been has been set for his full appeal hearing.
