Former immigration centre worker arrested in Operation Elveden
Officers from Operation Elveden arrested a man at his home in Slough this morning
The 40-year-old man was arrested at about 6am for suspected corruption, contrary to the Prevention of Corruption Act 1906, and suspected misconduct in a public office, contrary to Common Law.
He is a former employee at an immigration centre and is being interviewed at a west London police station.
Operation Elveden is the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) inquiry into allegations of inappropriate payments to police and public officials.
It is being supervised by the Independent Police Complaints Commission and is running in conjunction with Operation Weeting, the MPS phone-hacking inquiry.
