Pupils celebrate National Storytelling Week
Enchanting tales were told to school children celebrating National Storytelling Week.
About 90 pupils at Western House Primary School in Richards Way, Cippenham, were treated to a selection of stories by professional storyteller Martin Hunka on Friday last week.
The five and six-year-olds were visiting the Barratt Homes Eton Green development in Richards Way as part of the national week which runs until tomorrow.
Teacher Rozeena Bhatti said: "Storytelling allows young people's imaginations to run wild and it has been a real treat for our pupils who listened intently to Martin's stories."
National Storytelling Week was launched in 2000 by The Society for Storytelling.
Lynnette St-Quintin, sales director for Barratt Southern Counties, said: "As part of our ongoing education programme we actively promote learning experiences such as these and thought that our show home would provide the perfect venue."
