Leading young baritone Marcus Farnsworth will be making a welcome return to Maidenhead Music Society.
The recital will include two popular song cycles starting with Beethoven’s An Die Ferne Geliebte or To My Distant Beloved.
It will be completed with Schubert’s Schwanengesang (Swansong).
Marcus has become a leading young baritone in the UK since winning the Wigmore Hall International Song Title in 2009 and in 2011 the Song Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Award.
He now achieves major roles at Covent Garden and other large opera houses.
This year is the 70th season of the Maidenhead Music Society, a season of six concerts aims to bring top-quality established and emerging classical musical performers to the town.
