FOUR fire engines were called to Mire Lane in Waltham St Lawrence after a combine harvester set on fire.
Firefighters from Maidenhead, Slough, Bracknell and Wokingham were called to the scene at 2.15pm today.
The blaze had spread from the plough to nearby crops and hay bales.
The combine harvester had over-heated and set alight. It was completely destroyed in the blaze.
Fire crews had extinguished the fire within 40 minutes of arriving at the scene and say there was no suspicious circumstances.
