An insight into the history of British politics was enjoyed by the ladies of Slough’s Meet and Mingle.
The group, which is celebrating three years since it was formed, visited the Houses of Parliament in London on Tuesday, April 12.
About 50 ladies also enjoyed a ride on the London Eye and a river cruise along the Thames.
Aksa Marshal, who founded Meet and Mingle, said: “The ladies really enjoyed the day and they were all very keen to see how parliament works.
“We also looked round the tombs of lords and spoke to the MP for Slough, Fiona Mactaggart, who asked us whether we had any issues we wanted to address.
“Overall it was a very exciting afternoon.”
On Saturday the group is holding a special event to celebrate its three year anniversary.
Ms Mactaggart is due to be a guest of honour at the event which is being held at the Copthorne Hotel in Cippenham Lane.
There will be performances by a number of artists as well as dancing and other live entertainment.
