Emergency services recovered a body from the Grand Union Canal in Iver this afternoon.
Firefighters from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the canal near Mansion Lane after reports of a person being spotted in the water.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said crews recovered the body from the water and enquiries are now ongoing into the circumstances.
A statement from Thames Valley Police said: “We received reports of a person being seen in the river in Iver this afternoon (July 18).
“Fire crews helped to recover the body, and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
