New heights were scaled by Zoe Allanson on Saturday as she won silver in the u15s girls high jump at the Berkshire Schools Athletics championships in Bracknell.
Allanson, 12, leapt 4cm higher than her previous best to clear 1.48m, a new Cookham Running Club record.
At the same event Sammy March just missed out on a podium place in the u17s boys 800m, despite finishing in a new personal best and club record of 2mins 09.60secs, while Adam Gambrill was another to set a new personal best with 4.36.00 in the 1500m.
Several more personal bests fell at the Watford Harriers Minors Open meeting on Sunday where Louie Seamons came third in the u13s boys 100m in 14.50 and Martha Garner broke the club record in the u13s girls 75m hurdles.
In the u13s boys 800m Josh Dilley improved his personal best to finish second in 2.32.3, closely followed across the finish line by teammate Euan Russell (2.33.3) and Nick Holdsworth (2.37.0).
A team of 12 Cookham RC senior members successfully completed the 160 mile London to Cardiff relay event at the weekend.
The event involved the team running through the night on unmarked paths and trails with each member completing a minimum of two legs.
Cookham RC were the 15th fastest team of the 40 that took part.
