Burnham FC back to winning ways with 3-0 win over Penn & Tylers Green.

Burnham FC manager Paul Shone was happy to get back to winning ways on Saturday against Penn and Tylers Green.

The Blues put recent results behind them as they produced a convincing 3-0 win at home and Shone was pleased with his sides’ reaction.

“Yeah we were pleased,” said Shone.

“It was a local derby and especially after a couple of below-par performances-It was good to get a comfortable win and in the end get back to winning ways with four more games to go.

George Weller opened the scoring for Burnham on the half hour mark before Lucas Sinclair bagged the first of his brace from the penalty sport just minutes later.

The forward then doubled the Blues and his tally after the break to keep some breathing room for Burnham at the top of the table.

That win comes at a good time for the leaders, who have faltered in recent weeks – being beaten by local rivals Holyport before being frustrated in a 0-0 draw by Milton United.

Looking ahead the Blues visit Abingdon Town in the league

tomorrow (Saturday).
