The cricket season may be coming to a close but Women of Marlow CC, a cooperative initiative between Marlow CC, Marlow Park CC and Future Legends, took part in their first competitive clash last weekend.
The Women of Marlow took on Holyport Women in a T20 match, losing by just 11 runs, despite most of the side, which included two schoolgirls, having very little playing experience.
WOMCC’s captain Sharon Muir said: “It was a great experience playing our first game and a lot of fun, now we’re going to work hard indoors with our coach Nigel Bruce to develop our skills for next season.”
Anyone interested in joining the club should contact Nigel Bruce on 07841 628403.
