A packed programme of entertainment, stalls and attractions is lined up for the Maidenhead Christmas Lights Switch-On.
The Christmas market and light switch-on will take over St Ives Road, the Desborough Theatre and Library Square from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, November 22.
Visitors will get to browse gifts and enjoy food stalls and a bar.
Traylens funfair will keep visitors entertained and there will be panto stars, more than 25 community craft stalls and mini golf.
The Maidenhead Festival team will be taking over the live music programme.
In the Desborough Theatre, performers will include Arts by Noaa, the Rock Choir, Helena, Avenue Acapella Choir, Vandy Trio, the Tuneless Choir, Dance Inspired and Sing4You choir.
Outside, visitors will be treated to a Shining Star Performing Arts workshop, followed by Shining Star Performing Arts on stage.
Other performers include Millennium, The Courtlands Stories, Tara Deane and Co, Battle of the Bands winners Something Stupid and Hudson’s Choice.
From 5.50pm, the overall winner of Norden Farm’s Comet Art competition will take to the stage.
A countdown will then culminate with the Christmas lights switch-on at 6pm.
Weather permitting, there will also be fireworks, along with more live music.
Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club has also arranged for Santa to attend.
Children will be able to meet him and receive a small gift for £2 per child, with the funds raised helping to buy presents and food for families in need.
Lisa Hunter, Maidenhead Festival chairman said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be taking over three stages at this year’s Maidenhead Christmas Lights Switch-On. Not content with just one, we’ll be managing a trio of stages packed with incredible local talent.
“The Library Square Theatre will showcase our amazing performing arts schools – with plenty of chances for you to get involved – while the Christmas market stage inside the Desborough Theatre will keep the festive tunes flowing as you browse for special gifts.
“And of course, the main stage outside the Town Hall will be rocking with brilliant local bands, including our Maidenhead Festival Battle of the Bands 2025 winners, Something Stupid.
“These young musicians from Burnham Grammar School bring an electrifying mix of original hits and covers – it’s going to be an unforgettable celebration of music, community, and festive cheer.”
Festive sing-a-long Sundays will also take place in the Nicholsons Centre on November 23 and 30 and December 7, 14 and 21.
Shops and businesses in Maidenhead are also being invited to decorate their front windows as a part of Maidenhead’s Christmas Window Competition.
Participants are asked to tag @MakeMaidenhead on Facebook in a photo of their festive window before Saturday, November 22.
Once all entries have been submitted, an album of photos will be posted on the Make Maidenhead Facebook page, and the entry with the most reactions will win the Christmas Window Trophy and a £50 sponsored Facebook advert.
