The first headline acts of a new two-day music festival set to take place on the Long Walk in Windsor next summer have been revealed.

Long Walk Live – A Festival of Music will launch its inaugural event on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27.

Permission has been granted by His Majesty King Charles III for the event to take place on the Long Walk, which features a backdrop of Windsor Castle.

The event has been ‘created by the community, for the community’ and will feature a host of bands, individual artists, professional tribute ats and local talent.

‘Thousands of local visitors’ are expected to attend the festival.

Headlining on Friday evening will be Chesney Hawkes, well known for his hit song The One and Only.

The spotlight will turn to duo Keith Duffy (Boyzone) and Brian McFadden (Westlife) of Boyzlife, who will perform a selection of hits from the back catalogues of both boybands on Saturday, June 27.

Dua Beyond and ABBA Inferno, tribute acts for Dua Lipa and ABBA, will be the supporting acts on Friday, performing ahead of Chesney Hawkes.

Saturday evening’s supporting acts will be Ed Sheeran tribute MattMatics and Taylor Swift tribute SO TAYLOR, who will be belting out an array of her biggest anthems.

The event is being organised by the team behind Windsor’s Platinum Jubilee and Coronation celebrations and will feature as part of Windsor Festival’s programme of events for 2026.

The event will be ticketed, with all proceeds going back into the local community through the two charities behind the event – the Windsor Festival Society and The Prince Philip Trust Fund.

Both organisations support heritage, acts and charitable causes across the Windsor area.

Chris Aitken, chairman for the board of trustees at Windsor Festival, said: “Long Walk Live is more than just a music concert – it’s a celebration of Windsor, its people, and it’s incredible community spirit.

“Every ticket sold helps us to create these special moments for the community, but will also mean more support to local projects and helping to sustain our vibrant arts scene for years to come.

“We’re proud to bring live music to this iconic setting while giving something meaningful back.”

The festival aims to ‘establish itself as a highlight for local residents in 2026’, organisers have said.

Organisations and businesses are invited to join the celebrations through a range of sponsorship packages.

Volunteers are also being welcomed to get involved and have a hands-on role in bringing the event to life.

Tickets went on sale on Monday.

There are 250 ‘golden’ tickets still available for Friday, June 26 at a discount of 40 per cent.
