Slough Town are set to be part of football broadcasting history later this month when their home match against National League South leaders Ebbsfleet United is screened live on BT Sport.

It will be the first time a regular season National League South game has been selected for live TV coverage by BT Sport.

The Rebels are battling against relegation but have picked up form and momentum of late under new player manager Scott Davies. They'll be hoping that's still the case when runaway title favourites Ebbsfleet visit Arbour Park on Saturday, March 25, kick-off 12.30pm.

Reflecting on the news, Davies tweeted: "Great exposure for the club and what an opportunity for the players showcase themselves against the best team in the league. Let’s get those stands packed guys and girls."

Slough are no strangers to live TV coverage having made it through to the FA Cup second round proper twice in recent seasons, however, this will be the first time one of their league matches has been picked for TV.

This follows the success of Kidderminster Harriers v Chester in the National League North earlier this season, which was the first step 2 game to be shown on BT Sport.

The match also falls on Non League Day - an annual event which is scheduled to coincide with the international break for Premier League and Championship sides. It provides a platform for clubs to promote themselves and the importance of affordable, volunteer-led community football, and the Rebels will certainly look to take advantage of this national spotlight.

The club has also said it has a number of exciting plans to mark Non League Day at Arbour Park on this day which will be confirmed in due course.

Slough will have their work cut out against an Ebbsfleet side that have lost just six times in 36 league matches all season. The Rebels sit 16th in the table, six points above the bottom four ahead of this week's crucial matches at bottom club Concord Rangers tomorrow (Tuesday) and home to second bottom Hungerford Town on Saturday.
