Maidenhead will be looking to build on their much-needed victory over Milton Keynes before Christmas as they seek to haul themselves away from the lower reaches of the table in the second half of the season.
They resume their campaign after the festive break with a trip to Staines 1sts, one of a clutch of clubs just a handful of points above them in the table.
Maids' form was looking shaky throughout November and early December; however, they ended a four-match losing streak with a 4- 2 win at bottom club Milton Keynes on December 11 to lift themselves back to within touching distance of the sides just above them.
Seventh placed Staines are only three points better off than Maids having played two more fixtures. They also haven't won any of their last five matches, so Maids’ captain Phil Cowell will see this as an opportunity to start 2022 on a more positive note.
Maidenhead Women's 1sts resume their campaign at home to Marlow 1sts at Altwood School on Saturday.
Maids made great strides in the final two months of 2021, winning four matches in a row before being held to a goalless draw by Fareham 1sts in their last outing on December 11.
Fourth placed Marlow sit just above Maids in the table but hold an eight-point advantage over them.
