Maidenhead RFC kick off their new Regional 1 South Central campaign in early September, with a tricky looking trip to one of last season’s form sides CS Stags on Saturday, September 6.

They’ll then host Hammersmith & Fulham at Braywick Park on Saturday, September 13 before finishing off the month with a trip to local rivals Bracknell on Saturday, September 20.

With games to follow at home to Camberley on October 4, away to Jersey Rugby Club on October 11, and home to Wimbledon on October 18, Maids couldn’t have been handed a much together start to their campaign on paper.

The Stags, Bracknell, Camberley, Jersey and Wimbledon finished in the top seven places last season - behind runaway champions London Welsh - with Maids not too far adrift of them in mid-table.

So, it certainly looks like points will be hard earned in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Head coach David Mobbs-Smith will clearly be hoping this isn’t the case. And until they play these sides it won’t be known how these rivals match up to a promising young Maids team that are developing with every match they play together.

After getting through the first two months of the season, Maids will then face a few of the league’s new boys, with London Scottish Lions to host them on October 25, a home game against Worthing to follow on November 8 and a trip to Farnham coming off the back of that on November 22.

This may be a time in the season where Maids can pick up some momentum and a healthy number of points.

Maids will finish their season as they started it, with a game against CS Stags, this time at Braywick Park on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
