Maidenhead United have strengthened their defensive options ahead of the new season with the addition of Charlie Wassmer from Margate.
The 25-year-old central defender was part of the Margate team which won promotion to the National League South in 2015.
Wassmer started his career at Hayes & Yeading United, working his way through their youth system before breaking into the first team.
His performances caught the eye of Steve Evans at Crawley Town and he moved to the Sussex club when they moved up to the football league.
After two season with Crawley he returned to non-league football, initially on loan at Fleetwood before permanently moving to Cambridge United. A return spell at Hayes & Yeading followed before his move to Margate.
The Magpies also confirmed that Ryan Peters, Christian Smith and Kieron Forbes have committed themselves to the club next season.
