Maidenhead United will welcome Tranmere Rovers to York Road tomorrow night (Tuesday) for the first ever fixture between the two clubs.
Tranmere, who’ve played as high as the Championship equivalent level in the not too distant past, were one of the pre-season favourites for promotion and are one of the biggest names in the National League.
The Wirral Club reached the National League play-off final last season, but lost out to Forest Green Rovers at Wembley.
This season hasn’t started off so well for them but has improved in recent weeks. They’ve picked up wins against Woking, Solihull Moors and Barrow, but Dover, Eastleigh and Sutton United have all got the better of them. They come into the match at York Road in 14th position, but on the same number of points as 10th placed Maidenhead – who lost 3-2 at Halifax Town on Saturday.
Rovers fans will be situated at the Bell Street end of the ground and will use this turnstile to access York Road. Maidenhead fans will enter via the York Road turnstiles, but will be able to occupy terracing behind either goal.
Tickets are available on the night for adults £15, concessions £10 and u16s £5.
