The National League board was set to meet yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon to discuss how it should resolve promotion and relegation in its three divisions.
According to reports top of its agenda was to decide whether to hold play-off matches in line with what’s being done by the EFL in Leagues 1 and 2.
This will be of keen interest to Slough Town in National League South who would occupy one of the play-off berths if the season is determined on a points per game basis.
The National League will then speak with clubs in each of the divisions today (Thursday) and they will be asked to vote on the matter. The FA will still need to ratify any decisions that are taken.
Maidenhead United look set to avoid relegation from the National League, however the final tables are determined.
