Ryan Peters has said he’s expecting a lot from new loan signing Alex Addai following the forward’s move from League 2 Cheltenham.
Addai will link up with the club for the next month and was thrown on for the last minutes of Maidenhead’s 2-2 draw with Bromley on Saturday. He showed flashes of what he might be capable of in black and white and Peters welcomed the move ahead of what’s set to be hectic pre-Christmas schedule.
“We’re expecting a lot from him,” he said. “Lee (Devonshire, chief scout) has been watching him for a while and we’re chuffed to get him in at a great time for us because we’ve got a few injuries. He wasn’t able to get into the game as much as he’d have liked because we were penned in a little bit, but we’re expecting him to help us score a few more goals.”
The 26-year-old, who has featured in all competitions for the Robins this season, has netted 10 times since joining from Merstham in 2018. He started his career at Tottenham Hotspur and previous clubs include Carshalton Athletic, Whitehawk and Kingstonian. He will wear the number 18 shirt during his loan time at York Road.
