Plans submitted for 130 homes in Moorbridge Road

Images have been released showing how a Maidenhead brownfield site could look if plans for five apartment blocks are approved.

Developer Bellway Homes has submitted an application to the council to transform the derelict office buildings at Moorbridge Court and Liberty House, in Moorbridge Road, into 130 homes, with 66 parking spaces.

The application was received by the Royal Borough last month but a decision has not yet been made.

Bellway Homes said: "The development will provide a wide range of key planning and regeneration benefits for the site and surrounding area.

"[It] makes best use of a vacant brownfield site easing pressure on the surrounding valued greenbelt and represents a high quality design which will act as a landmark building to serve as a gateway into Maidenhead town centre.

"The proposals will result in environmental benefits given that the development will generate less car movements than the existing office blocks and the new buildings will be of a more energy efficient and sustainable build.

"Subject to the granting of planning permission, it is likely that the first available units will be available for occupation in spring 2022."
