2009: A vibrant and colourful parade brought Maidenhead High Street to life as crowds gathered to celebrate Chinese New Year.

The energetic lion and dragon dance, performed by students from the World Eagle Claw Kung Fu School, weaved its way through the town to welcome in the Year of the Ox.


2009: A gleaming new £100,000 extension was officially opened at Woodlands Park Primary School.

The Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr Dorothy Kemp – a long-standing governor at the school – cut the ribbon to launch the school’s new building.


2014: Months of hard work were rewarded as youngsters received their Duke of Edinburgh Awards at a ceremony.

The Mayor, Cllr Andrew Jenner, was on hand to present the hard-earned prizes at the Youth Achievement Awards, held at the Magnet Leisure Centre.


2014: A fitness instructor bade farewell to friends and clients after 16 years of teaching in Maidenhead.

Stael Martins gave her last ever aerobics class at the Magnet Leisure Centre before heading back to live in her native Brazil with her family.


2019: Campaigners celebrated after councillors gave the go-ahead to build a pedestrian crossing across Braywick Road.

More than 1,000 people had signed a petition calling for a crossing to protect pedestrians from speeding cars using the dual carriageway.
