World number one Novak Djokovic has again opted to play The Boodles event at Stoke Park County Club, ahead of next week’s defence of his Wimbledon title.
The 15-time Grand Slam champion has been a regular at the exhibition event over the years and will once again grace the grass courts this week.
Djokovic currently holds the Wimbledon, US Open and Australian Open crowns and has a career total of 74 titles. In May he celebrated 250 weeks at World Number one – one of only five players to achieve that feat alongside Roger Federer, Pete Sampras, Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors.
The Serbian will play matches on Tuesday and Wednesday (June 25-26) and will join a star-studded field which includes world number six Stefanos Tsitsipas, Karen Kachanov and Fabio Fognini.
Djokovic kicks off tomorrow's (Tuesday) order of play against Crisitian Garin at 2.30pm, followed by Fognini vs Denis Shapovalov and Diego Schwartzman vs Martin Klizan (not before 5pm).
Unfortunately Juan Martin Del Potro has been forced to withdraw from the event after fracturing his right patella.
The Boodles gets underway from tomorrow (Tuesday) and runs until Saturday.
