New lawn tennis courts have recently opened in Summerleaze Park, and the owners are keen for as many people as possible to come down and experience them.
Summerleaze Park Lawn Tennis Club, on the site of the old North Maidenhead Cricket Club ground, has opened three new grass courts which are available for use by the community.
Richard Mole, the LTA Accredited coach at the venue, wants to make the new courts as accessible as possible for local players of all ages and abilities and, when a member hires a court, they can bring three guests to play with them free of charge.
Individual and group lessons are also available on request.
Speaking about the venue this week, Richard said: “We have an excellent groundsman that has produced three quality lawn tennis courts by regularly watering the courts and rolling the ground in preparation for our 2022 season. This week players have been able to enjoy playing at a venue the Maidenhead community can be proud of.”
Memberships will be limited to 100 per year at £50, a discounted fee which will rise to £75 for the 2023 season. It also excludes court hire charges which are £15 per hour for a maximum of four players. For further details:
