Maidenhead Girls u15s ruthlessly executed their game plan for a 6-1 win over Tilehurst Panther Stripes in the League Cup on Saturday.
The girls took the game to the Panthers from the outset, opening the scoring through Jess Davison, before Priya Handa and Amelia Gilbert got their names on the scoresheet to make it 3-0 at the break.
Maids continued to show great desire after the interval with Megan Harper netting twice, the second a sweeping first time drive into the corner. Tilehurst threw caution to the wind in the closing stages, and grabbed themselves a late consolation before Priya applied the finishing touch to another fine move to seal a 6-1 win. Megan Harper was named player of the match.
Callum Neeson-Roberts netted a hat-trick in a fantastic team performance, as Maidenhead B&G u12s Panthers came from behind for a thrilling 5-4 in over Ascot United Colts.
Maids found themselves 3-2 down after a hectic opening 10 minutes, with Neeson-Roberts and Christopher Farkas on the scoresheet, but Neeson-Roberts and Billy O’Brien combined to play in Harry McGill for a superb equaliser.
Callum made it 4-3 after the restart but Ascot hit back almost immediately, but in the final minutes Callum secured the win for his team and with it the player of the match award.
