Maidenhead RFC will return to competitive action this weekend when they travel to Camberley for a Regional 1 South Central clash.
Maids’ last league outing was on October 1 when they had a four game unbeaten streak abruptly ended at Braywick Park by leaders Oxford Harlequins (29-46).
The Squirrels, Saturday’s opposition, are also high-flying and sit two points below David Mobbs-Smith’s third-placed men in fifth place.
They were 46-17 winners against Banbury in their most recent competitive fixture.
Windsor RFC will be looking to make home advantage count when they host Cobham this weekend – their first competitive fixture at Home Park this season.
Andy Symons’ side find themselves rock bottom of the Regional 2 Thames League after five matches (0W, 0D, 5L).
In their defence, one of those clashes was narrowly edged by London Cornish on September 10 (29-28) while their most recent loss was to Beaconsfield at the start of this month (31-10).
The Royals haven’t been able to utilise their pitch to full effect this season due to adverse weather conditions and the fact that a lot of Home Park was required when Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral took place.
Cobham sit in ninth place with two wins and three defeats.
They were just beaten by Amersham & Chiltern, 23-28, in their last outing which was played on home turf.
In the Counties 2 Tribute Berks, Bucks & Oxon South Division, Slough RFC are fortunate enough to remain in fifth place following a 19-17 defeat to Maidenhead’s third team. The loss is the side’s third of the season to go alongside two wins.
They are next in action against 10th-placed Newbury 2nds on Saturday, October 22.
