A vacant site which used to be a hairdressers could be turned into a shisha lounge in Slough.
The site at 342 Farnham Road has been vacant since March 2020 and was formerly used by a hairdressing salon.
A new planning application to change the salon into a shisha lounge was placed in March 2023.
The planning application also shows plans to extend the front entrance of the site in order to create a small open-air lounge with a canopy above it, suitable for 28 people.
A side extension has also been proposed to add more lounge space both on the ground and first floor. An already existing elevation will allow people to get access to the second floor via a side entrance. This side space will be suitable for 11 people and will also be under a canopy.
The inside of the site will remain the same but changes to the furniture will be made to make it more suitable for a shisha lounge.
The plans have been submitted by agent PA Architecture Ltd but it is still unclear what the business name will be and who will own it.
