Work is progressing to build a Big Yellow self storage facility at the former Sainsbury’s supermarket site in Farnham Road.
Slough Borough Council approved plans for a three-storey building featuring self storage units to replace the supermarket in April.
The site has been vacant since Sainsbury’s closed its doors more than a year ago.
The Big Yellow Group is seeking permission from the council to install seven illuminated advertising signs across the towering building.
An application, submitted on behalf of the self storage firm, said: “The proposed signs will be appropriately spaced along the northern, eastern and southern elevations and will offer an appropriate among of signage for this designated employment and retail location.
“The signs have been sensitively designed and will cover a small area of the building’s elevations.”
