A technology giant has donated state-of-the-art interactive screens to boost children’s learning at a Slough primary school.

Leading TV manufacturer Vestel, based in Langley, gifted a haul of digital screens to Castleview Primary School as part of its commitment to supporting the community.

The generous donations include two interactive screens for Year 4 classrooms and one for Year 3.

Vestel has also provided three digital signage screens, one of which is being used as a ‘home cinema’ for after-school clubs.

Tim Matthews, senior product manager at Vestel, said: “It’s been fantastic to work with Castleview and its team and we hope the addition of the interactive technology and digital screens can benefit both children and teachers in their day-to-day work and learning.

“It’s important for us as a company to support our community and we look forward to many more exciting projects like this in the future.”

Last year the manufacturing firm also donated a 75 inch interactive screen for Castleview’s nursery class.

Clair Harris, computing lead at Castleview Primary School said: “We are proud to have built a strong working relationship with Langley based company, Vestel, who are going that extra mile to support schools in the local area.

“The children in Year 4 have benefitted from having larger screens in their classroom, which make the work easier to view from any angle in the room.

“In addition, as the screens are now interactive, they can contribute to the lessons, lead parts of the lessons and add their opinions to the teaching slides.”
