Flackwell Heath hoping to finish festive fixtures in top half of Premier Division

Flackwell Heath are looking ahead to three crucial games over the Christmas period as they look to drag themselves back up into the top half of the Premier Division table.

Marcus Richardson’s side were disappointed by Saturday’s postponement away to promotion challenging Fairford Town and felt they should have got more from their last competitive clash, a 2-2 draw with Longlevens at Wilks Park on December 7.

The Heathens held the lead in that game going into the final minutes before a controversial goal, which Richardson felt should have been chalked out, salvaged a point for the visitors.

It leaves the side 11th in the table heading into Saturday’s game at 14th placed Virginia Water while in-form Burnham are the visitors to Wilks Park on Boxing Day in what will be seen as a must-win game for both sides. They’ll then finish off their festive fixtures with a trip to struggling Ardley United on December 28.

Flackwell have struggled to put together a consistent run of form this season, despite having a talented young team. However, they do have matches in hand over many of the sides above them.
