WINDSOR have been drawn away to Eastbourne Town in the fourth round of the FA Vase after both sides scored late goals to book their progress on Saturday.
Bradley Pearce was the Royalists’ match-winner on Saturday, netting twice in the final few minutes as the visitors came from behind to seal a 2-1 win over Walton & Hersham of the Combined Counties Premier Division.
Eastbourne Town, of the Southern Combination Premier Division, were taken to extra-time in their match at Beckenham Town, but Jason Taylor’s extra-time brace was enough to earn them a 3-2 victory and progression to the next round.
Windsor’s run in this season’s competition looked to be coming to an end after Mauachi Thomas swept home a right-wing cross to put Walton in front in the 72nd minute on Saturday.
With only three minutes remaining on the clock, Pearce tapped home from close range after the ball had cannoned back to him off the crossbar.
Then, deep into stoppage-time, Windsor won it with their last attack when Pearce collected Barry Hayles’ pass, burst into the box and slipped the ball under keeper Brendan Norris.
The fourth-round ties will take place on Saturday, January 6. Fixture dates and times could be subject to change.
