Grey Bandana gang members sentenced

Members of the Grey Bandana gang have been sentenced to a combined total of more than eight years.

The three 17-year-old boys, who can't be named for legal reasons,  were sentenced to detention and training orders at Reading Crown Court on Friday for their part in a series of robberies, GBH and possession of drugs at Mercian Way Park, Cippenham, on January 26.

One offender pleading guilty to GBH and one robbery while another pleaded guilty to a robbery and possession of a knife.

The third offender did not plead guilty to any offences.

DC Ryan Elliott, of Slough CID, said: "These three were all members of Grey Bandana Gang in Slough. Through these prosecutions we have successfully managed to keep these gang members off the streets for some time.

"We have managed to disrupt the Grey Bandana Gang and deter further violent offences which are what these three members along with the others perceive as acceptable behaviour."

The first offender was given two sentences of 12 months in jail for two counts of robbery and 18 months for GBH, all to run concurrently.

The second offender was sentenced to 12 months in jail for one count of robbery and 12 months in jail for GBH to run concurrently as well as a further four months for possession of a knife to run consecutively.

The third offender was sentenced to 12 months for robbery, 12 months for GBH, four months for possession of cannabis and four months for possession of MDMA, all to run concurrently.
