Maidenhead United have made it through to the quarter-final of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup with a comprehensive victory over Milton United on Monday evening.

Shawn McCoulsky bagged a hat-trick and youngster Jaydn Dundas found the back of the net once as the Magpies triumphed 4-0 at York Road against the Miltonians (Combined Counties Premier Division North).

Alan Devonshire’s men will face an MK Dons side on home soil in the next round of the tournament, the date of the tie yet to be announced.

Speaking to media officer Grace Scott at full-time, McCoulsky said: “It was good. It was good to get the hat-trick obviously and the win. We’re through to the next round. The boys played well, that’s the main thing. Get the goals and get through to the next round.

“The more confidence we can get going into York on Saturday, the better. It is definitely a confidence booster going into Saturday. We’ve just got to take it into the next game.”

On his contribution, Dundas said: “I just saw the ‘keeper come out, so I thought I’d poke it past him. I was absolutely buzzing when it hit the back of the net.”

“I was absolutely excited to be involved with this team and to just play alongside them is a great experience.

“Yeah, he (Aaron O’Brien) is amazing getting us involved. That weekly training on a Thursday and to be involved in these games, I love it.”

Maidenhead United travel to the LNER Community Stadium on Saturday to play York City in the National League.
