A Wraysbury woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a man suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorway car crash over the weekend.
The woman, 44, has been released on bail as police continue an investigation into the crash on the M27 near Southampton, late on Saturday.
A silver Mercedes SLK hit a black VW Golf while it was parked on the hard shoulder of the M27 eastbound carriageway near junction three at around 10.30pm.
Hampshire police said a man in his 30s, who was in the Golf, suffered life-changing injuries which could be potentially fatal.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has been bailed till May 1.
The force is appealing for witnesses to contact 101 or make a report online, quoting the reference number 44250048653.
