A fire broke out in the morning on Wednesday this week (16 July) at a home in Maidenhead, bringing crews from three fire stations.
At 9:20am, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire on Alston Gardens.
Crews from Maidenhead and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one officer (deployed for more significant or complex fires) and one crew from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the kitchen of a first floor flat. Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.
They were on scene for approximately two hours and 27 minutes.
