A yellow weather warning has been issued for ice covering multiple regions including Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.
A band of rain and sleet, with a little snow on hills, will clear southwards across England and Wales during Friday evening and overnight.
As skies clear, temperatures will fall below freezing leading to a risk of ice forming on untreated surfaces.
This ice has a medium likelihood and is expected to have a low impact.
The Met Office recommends leaving plenty of time for journeys to avoid rushing, which can cause slips and falls in this weather.
It further recommends walking along pavements along main roads where possible, as these are likely to be less slippery.
Similarly, if cycling, try and stick to main roads which are more likely to have been treated.
The yellow warning extends into 10am tomorrow (Saturday).
