A 51-year-old paedophile has been jailed for more than 14 years for sex offences against two young girls.
Gary Fenn, previously of Tockley Road in Burnham, sexually abused two girls between October 2018 and December 2020.
Police arrested Fenn on December 31, 2020, and later charged him with a string of child sex offences on December 17, 2022.
He pleaded guilty at Reading Crown Court on April 20 to four counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, 13 counts of causing a child to engage in penetrative sexual activity, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, one count of sexual communication with a child and one count of making indecent photographs of a child.
On Friday, Fenn received a prison sentence of 14 years and eight months and will also serve an additional eight years on an extended licence.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Alethea Cox, said: “Paedophiles are often stereotyped to be alienated members of our society but there are many that are calculating and charming, and worm their ways in to families to satisfy their own agenda.
“Fenn was one of these such men, whose grooming behaviour sought to manipulate anyone and everyone around him.
“I hope the victims know how brave they were in speaking up and bringing Fenn to justice.
“Their actions will ultimately protect other children in society for many, many years to come.
“Anyone who has experienced sexual abuse should know they can speak to the police and feel confident that they will be listened to.
"I would like to reassure the public that we will always look to prosecute anyone who commits sexual offences against children, recent or non-recent. You will be supported, no matter what the passage of time, and we will bring offenders to justice.
“Anyone who wishes to speak to us can call 101 or make a report on our website.”
