An army of Christmas-themed bikers will ride through the Royal Borough this weekend to gather toys for children in need.
The Windsor Toy Run is a cherished annual tradition that sees motorcyclists from across the area don festive decorations and parade through Windsor to spread holiday cheer.
Spectators are expected to line the streets along the route, with families joining the fun – all for charitable causes.
The event centres on collecting toys and donations for disadvantaged children during the festive season.
This charitable spectacle kicks off at Braywick Leisure Centre on Sunday, November 23, at 9.30am.
Bikes, trikes and sidecars will all be ready to start the annual ride out, with many decorated for the occasion.
Organisers say costumes are optional but help boost the atmosphere, and anyone with two or three wheels is encouraged to take part.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Windsor Toy Run has been going for nearly 15 years but recently got handed solely over to Karl Head to organise from scratch.
“This is his second year, and we would love it to get bigger and better with more riders involved.”
Motorists will head toward Windsor Castle along Maidenhead Road and pause at Dedworth Tesco, where supporters can view the festive motorbikes, three-wheelers and scooters.
Riders will pass Windsor Racecourse, Windsor Boys’ School and Princess Margaret Hospital before continuing to Broom Farm Military Community Hall, where hot dogs and refreshments will be available.
The bikers will hand over Christmas gifts to children from armed forces families with parents away on deployment this festive season.
Gifts have previously been distributed to families by The Army Welfare Service, and this year is no different.
Money raised from the event, which has now been running for nearly 15 years, will support causes chosen by the bikers.
