New women’s-only swimming sessions are being launched at Newlands Leisure Centre, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment for women and girls aged 13 and over.
The sessions, operated by Leisure Focus on behalf of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, will take place every Wednesday evening and aim to make swimming more accessible for women of all abilities.
A female lifeguard will be on duty during each session to help ensure a comfortable and supportive setting.
Swimmers will have access to the centre’s 23-metre pool, which will be arranged into slow, medium and fast lanes, allowing participants to swim at a pace that suits them.
The sessions are designed to cater for everyone, from those looking to build confidence in the water to regular swimmers training for fitness.
Newlands Leisure Centre also offers free on-site parking and dedicated changing facilities, making the sessions convenient for residents.
Each session costs £5, providing an affordable opportunity for women and girls to take part in regular exercise and support their health and wellbeing.
Places must be booked online via Newlands Leisure Centre at www.leisurefocus.org.uk.
