Police arrested a man in Slough on Monday evening (March 9) after he failed to stop for officers and was later found hiding near several suspected stolen bikes.
Officers from the neighbourhood policing team initially attempted to stop the rider, but he did not pull over. PC Slattery, from the incident and crime response team, later located and arrested the man.
Police said the arrest followed a coordinated effort involving several units across East Berkshire. The National Police Air Service provided aerial support, helping guide officers on the ground to the rider’s last known location.
Teams from the proactive unit, incident and crime response, and the Slough East neighbourhood team were then able to contain the area.
The suspect was found hiding nearby next to what police believe were stolen motorbikes. The end result was 'six bikes seized and zero bikes left to terrorise the community.'
Thames Valley Police said the operation showed the value of different teams working together to respond quickly to incidents in the area.
On their Facebook page, TVP Slough, the team wrote: "You can run, but you can’t hide… and tonight someone discovered they can’t ride either.
