    As it happens: Maidenhead United vs Hartlepool United

    Full-time: Maidenhead 1, Hartlepool United 1. A point is about right for both teams. Maidenhead had a measure of control in the first half and deservedly took the lead through Sam Barratt's penalty kick but Pools came back into it in the second half and levelled matters through Adam Campbell's cracking strike. 1-1

    75' Maidenhead looking to reassert their earlier control after being pegged back by that fantastic strike from Campbell. It feels like a more even game now, and was before Hartlepool's leveller. The Magpies in need of a freshen up perhaps. 1-1.

    65' Two of the Hartlepool substitutes combine with Campbell finding Mancini and his low effort is well saved by Craig Ross to preserve the Magpies lead. Pools are causing more of a threat now. 1-0 

    63' Chance for Hartlepool. The ball breaks for Joe Grey on the edge of the area but he can't keep his shot down and it flies over the bar. It's his last action of the game as he's replaced by Anthony Mancini. 1-0 

    61' Latty-Fairweather has got up and down the left flank well today, he's been another threat for the Magpies. 1-0 

    59' McCoulsky escapes away from the Hartlepool defence down the left but his shot is a tame one. Could have picked out Ferguson in the middle. Would probably have been the better option. 1-0 

    57' Chance for Hartlepool from a dangerous free kick on the edge of the box. Campbell looks to whip it home with his first touch of the ball but the wall does its job and the shot is blocked. 1-0

    56' Two changes for Hartlepool. Sloggett and Mathurin replaced by Charman and Campbell. 1-0 

    54' Maidenhead break quickly with Ferguson feeding McCoulsky in behind. He beats his marker but whips the ball across the face of goal. The home side in total control right now. 1-0 

    52' Maidenhead force another corner after working the play well down the right through Barratt and Welch-Hayes. The latter seeing his low cross cut out and put behind. 1-0 

    50' Maidenhead continue to try and stretch the game. Working the ball left and right with Barratt and Smith heavily involved. 1-0 

    46' Game is back underway and Maidenhead create an early chance for Golding. Pettit with the little ball over the top and Golding fires at goal on the volley but Young saves. 1-0 

    Halftime: Maidenhead United 1, Hartlepool United 0. Maidenhead United in control at the break after taking the lead through Sam Barratt's well-struck penalty. It was a fairly even first 15 minutes but the Magpies controlled it after that. Parkes came close in the early minutes for Pools with a shot that bounced back off the post, but that's the visitors only real opportunity. The Magpies had another couple of chances through Smith and Barratt with Barratt looking particularly effective down the right. 

    45' Welch-Hayes whips the ball in from the right and it sails over Young's crossbar but he had to keep an eye on it. 1-0 

    45' Dangerous free kick for Maidenhead towards the end of the first half. He tries to play it to Ferguson down the right hand side but overdoes it and the ball runs out of play. Bit of a waste. 1-0 

    41' Pools are struggling now as Maidenhead look to press home their advantage. Barratt is getting a lot of joy down the right, both with his crosses and his long throws. Causing the visitors all sorts of problems. 1-0 

    37' Maidenhead well on top now. Barratt whips in another cross that Lokko looks to head home but he clatters into Young and the referee blows up for a free kick. 1-0 

    Barratt's thumping free kick which has given the Magpies the lead. 

    31' Sam Barratt steps up and slams the ball home down the middle. No chance for Young there. 1-0 

    29' Penalty to Maidenhead. Will De Havilland goes over under Waterfall's challenge. 

    26' Nice little move involving Pettit - who spreads a fantastic long ball across to Smith, who then cuts inside his man and feeds Latty-Fairweather down the left but his cut back is cleared. 0-0 

    20' Twenty minutes in and Maidenhead have had the better of the chances but it's been an even game. A lot of promising play in between the two boxes but defences have been largely on top. 0-0 

    17' CHANCE! Maidenhead should really be ahead as Smith picks out Barratt at the back post but the midfielder's effort is cleared off the line by a combination of Young and David Ferguson. 0-0 

    16' Maidenhead go close through Reece Smith, who cut in from the left and sends a shot towards the bottom corner, But Brad Young gets across his goal well to push it away. 0-0 

    10' Further pressure from Hartlepool but Maidenhead deal with it relatively comfortably. You'd say the visitors have shaded the first 10 minutes but there's not much in it. 0-0 

    4' Maidenhead cause some problems from a long throw from the right. They put in a ball to Will De Havilland at the back post but he can only head wide of the post. Before kick off there was a minute's applause for De Havilland's father who past away suddenly  last month. 0-0

    2' Hartlepool have made the more positive start here, forcing the first corner at the Bell Street End and almost scoring from it. Tom Parkes eventually firing against the post. The ball came to him quickly and may also have taken a small deflection, but it remains goalless. Let off for Maidenhead. 0-0 

    1' Maidenhead kick the game underway and will be attacking the Canal End in the first half. 0-0 

    The two sides today come into the game in contrasting form. Maidenhead are unbeaten in six matches, having won their past three in the league, where as Hartlepool have won just one of their last seven matches - a run of form which led to the departure of their manager Darren Sarll this week.

    Maidenhead United welcome Hartlepool United to York Road this afternoon, with the visitors having dispensed with their manager Darren Sarll following Tuesday's FA Cup replay defeat to Brackley Town. The former Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough, Luton Town and Crystal Palace boss Lennie Lawrence has taken over as interim manager for Pools at the age of 76.
