    Popoola's late penalty wins it for the Magpies. How crucial could those three points be?

    65' Popoola beats his man and sends in a really dangerous cross. De Havilland goes up for it but he's adjudged to have fouled his man. free kick for Maidstone. 1-0 

    63' Big chance for Maidstone. The ball pinballs around in the area but the chance from John Gilbert is lifted over the bar. That could so easily have been 1-1. It remains 1-0 

    62' Popoola tries to skip his way past a couple of defenders and the goalkeeper, but Holden is able to get his hands on the ball. 1-0 

    61' CHANCE! Dulson with a powerful drive from outside the area that Holden parried. The follow up falls kindly for Mitchell-Lawson but his shot is blocked by a defender. 1-0 

    60' Another corner for Maidenhead. Ragguette's cross is deflected behind after the defender slipped. 1-0 

    53' Another corner for Maidenhead. Popoola delivers. It's picked up by Dulson who chips the ball back into the back post where De Havilland arrives and heads it off the outside of the post. It was a narrow angle but a chance all the same. 1-0 

    52' Dulson is released on the right and has Maidenhead players to pick out in the area but his cross is blocked behind. 1-0 

    46' Back underway at York Road. Maidenhead attacking the Bell Street End in this half. They lead 1-0

    Clerima's close range finish the difference between two well matched sides. 

    45' Two additional minutes at the end of the half. Maidenhead looking to see this out with their lead in tact. 1-0 

    41' Free kick for the Stones on the edge of the Maidenhead area. Dulson pulled back his man. 1-0 

    The wall does its job and deflects the shot over the bar. Maidenhead defend the corner well with Dulson holding off his man and running the ball out.

    40' Couple of deflected efforts for Maidstone. Deon Moore with the first which loops behind for a corner. The second shot from George Fowler went even closer and passed just by the post. Van Stappershoef was rooted to the spot. Close for the visitors, who've fully played their part in this game 1-0

    36' Jayden Mitchell-Lawson is hacked down again  by Tanga. It reaches Clerima at the back post and he sends in a clever low cut back but Maidstone are able to clear. 1-0

    34' A brief stoppage in play for a head injury but the game is back underway now. 1-0 

    28' SAVE! What a save from Van Stappershoef to keep Maidenhead in front. Yila is played through but the Dutch keeper gets out to block his effort. 1-0 

    24'  Yila sends in a decent looking cross for Maidstone but it's over everyone and Van Stappershoef collects. 1-0 

    20' GOAL! Maidenhead take the lead through Remy Clerima! 

    Popoola delivers a perfect ball in from the corner and Clerima ghosts in to turn the ball home at the near post. Instinctive finish from the French defender. 1-0 

    19' Umerah's free kick pings off the wall for a corner! 

    18' Maidenhead are playing much better now. Josh Popoola has just jinked his way into the area and was pushed over but the referee wasn't interested. They now have a free kick on the edge of the box. 0-0

    16' POST! Liam Dulson is sent clean through and drills the ball past Holden, but his strike bounces back off the post and Maidstone survive! 0-0 

    11' CHANCE! Maidenhead go close. Corner to the back post is helped back into the middle by Remy Clerima and Miles Welch-Hayes flicks the ball goalwards only for Lenny Holden to get down and make a smart save. 0-0 

    8' Maidstone are pressing high and winning the ball back quickly. It's the exact opposite to Maidenhead's game with Totton on Tuesday when the visitors were very passive. This is going to be tough - as it should be. 0-0 

    7' Free kick for Maidenhead, outside of the box and central. Josh  Popoola had his legs taken. Umerah lines it up and has a go but the ball flies just wide of the post. 0-0

    Maidenhead United return to York Road looking for their third straight home form against one of their play-off rivals, Maidstone United. 

    The Magpies were in great form on Tuesday evening as they moved back into the play-off places after a 2-0 home win over AFC Totton.

    The visitors also arrive in fantastic form. They've won their last three matches, and defeated Enfield Town 8-0 a few weeks ago. 

    These sides sit sixth and seventh in the table.
